Event Insurance Requirements

To ensure a seamless, worry-free experience for your upcoming wedding, corporate meeting, social gathering, or community event, the Glen Mills Community and Conference Center requires special event liability insurance for all private rentals.

Why is event insurance required?

While our venue carries property and general liability insurance, our policy does not cover individual renters, third-party vendors, or liabilities arising from a private event's specific activities (such as guest injuries, accidental property damage, or incidents involving alcohol).

Requiring a short-term event liability policy protects you—the event host—from out-of-pocket financial responsibility if an accident, injury, or unexpected property damage occurs during your booking.

What do you need to do?

01.

SEcure coverage

Purchase a General Liability policy for the duration of your event. Most standard policies require a general aggregate limit of $1,000,000 (always check your specific rental contract to confirm exact requirements).

02.

add us as "additional insured"

During the policy checkout process, be sure to list the Community and Conference Center at Glen Mills as an Additional Insured on the certificate.

03.

submit your certificate

Email your Certificate of Insurance (COI) to our team at least 14 days prior to your event date.
